In response to the incident, law enforcement swiftly apprehended Nikki's husband, Vipin. Additionally, charges have been filed against other members of Nikki's in-laws.

In an interview with a media outlet, Nikki's father expressed his anguish, revealing that he had fulfilled every demand from his son-in-law and his family, including providing a Scorpio car and a Bullet motorcycle. Despite these efforts, his daughter faced ongoing harassment, ultimately leading to her tragic death. The devastated father is now calling on the Uttar Pradesh government for justice, threatening to go on a hunger strike if the authorities do not take action against the accused and demolish his son-in-law's house. He stated, 'This is Yogi Ji's government. The accused should face consequences, or we will resort to a hunger strike.'
