New Delhi, April 18: A shocking double homicide occurred in the CR Park area of South Delhi, where a father and son were discovered dead, and another family member was injured during a violent incident, as reported by police officials on Saturday, including DCP (South District) Anant Mittal, IPS.
On the evening of April 17, at approximately 9:30 PM, authorities received a report from Max Super Speciality Hospital in Saket regarding the admission of three individuals from Tara Apartments in Alaknanda, CR Park.
The deceased have been identified as Rakesh Sood, aged 62, and his son Karan Sood, aged 27, both of whom were pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. A third individual, named Rahul, suffered injuries and is currently receiving medical care.
Initial investigations suggest that the attack was motivated by a longstanding feud related to previous disputes. The suspect, identified as Asad, a resident of the same apartment complex, allegedly assaulted the victims with a sharp weapon following a confrontation.
Law enforcement has apprehended the suspect and registered a case under relevant legal statutes at PS CR Park. A comprehensive investigation is underway to clarify the events leading up to the attack and the underlying motives.
Police officials have confirmed that the inquiry is ongoing, which includes gathering forensic evidence and interviewing witnesses and family members. Further legal actions will be determined based on the investigation's findings.
