Domestic Violence Leads to Fatality in Kasganj

Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident has emerged from Kasganj district, where a man reportedly killed his pregnant wife during a domestic dispute on Wednesday evening. The altercation, which escalated over the amount of salt in the food, ended tragically when the woman fell from the roof of their home following the assault.

The event unfolded in Nagda Dhak village, where Ramu allegedly attacked his wife, Brajbala, who was five months pregnant, due to dissatisfaction with the meal she prepared. After the attack, she was rushed to a local hospital but was later transferred to Aligarh Medical College. Unfortunately, she could not be saved and succumbed to her injuries while under medical care. Following her death, Brajbala's brother claimed that Ramu had been involved in an extramarital affair with his sister-in-law, which had led to ongoing conflicts between the couple.

Ramu fled the scene but was apprehended later that night outside the village and subsequently handed over to law enforcement. According to Additional Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Bharti, a case has been registered against Ramu, and an investigation is currently in progress. Meanwhile, Brajbala's remains have been sent for a post-mortem examination, with further updates expected.

This incident has raised significant alarm regarding domestic violence and its devastating effects, which extend beyond the victim to impact families and communities at large.
