Domestic Dispute Turns Fatal

In a shocking incident in Champajhar village, located within the Mahuldiha police jurisdiction of Mayurbhanj district, a woman was brutally killed by her husband, who suspected her of infidelity. The victim, identified as Salita Munda, was attacked with an iron rod and a wooden plank, according to police reports.

Authorities were alerted by neighbors, prompting a swift response from law enforcement, who apprehended the suspect, Uday Ho, late Monday night. A case has been filed (66/25), and the weapons used in the crime have been confiscated.

The altercation reportedly stemmed from a heated argument regarding suspicions of an extramarital affair. In a fit of rage, Ho fatally assaulted Salita. Following the incident, police arrived at the scene, collected evidence with the help of a forensic team, and transported the body for a post-mortem examination on Tuesday.
