Tragic Domestic Dispute Leads to Murder in Kasganj District
Murder Case in Sahawar Area
In a shocking incident in the Sahawar region of Kasganj district, a man allegedly strangled his wife with a saree following an argument and disposed of her body in a nearby field. The individual surrendered to the police on Thursday, as reported by law enforcement officials.
According to police sources, the suspect, identified as Sonu, also known as Gaya Prasad, reportedly killed his 28-year-old wife, Kanchan, on Wednesday after a dispute in their village, Nagla Bhamma.
After the incident, he contacted the emergency police helpline 112 to report his wife's disappearance. However, later that afternoon, he voluntarily arrived at the police station and confessed to strangling Kanchan with a saree and discarding her body in a field nearby.
Authorities confirmed that Kanchan's body was recovered, and Sonu has been taken into custody. Villagers informed the police that Sonu had a history of alcohol addiction, which often led to frequent arguments between the couple. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.
