Shocking Incident in Seemapuri

Delhi: A disturbing event unfolded in the Seemapuri area of Delhi, where a brother and sister were discovered hanging in their rented apartment. This alarming situation came to light on Sunday when neighbors reported a foul odor emanating from the ground-floor unit.


The victims have been identified as 32-year-old Viresh Kumar Tomar and his 30-year-old sister, Chinki Tomar, both originally from Fatehpur Chak, Ramala in Baghpat district, Uttar Pradesh.


Authorities revealed that the siblings had been residing in the flat since 2021. A crime scene investigation team, along with officials from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), promptly arrived to document the scene for further analysis.


Initial findings suggest the possibility of suicide; however, investigators are exploring additional details. As of now, no suicide note has been located, and inquiries are ongoing.

In a separate case, a 13-year-old girl was discovered dead under suspicious circumstances in her home in Dabri, Delhi, on May 30. Police reported that her body was found in a room on the rooftop of the three-story building located in Sitapuri. Crime scene and forensic teams were summoned to investigate.


Based on preliminary findings, authorities suspect that the girl may have been murdered by strangulation, although no evidence of sexual assault was identified. A murder case has been registered, and further investigations are currently in progress.
