Discovery of Humaira Asghar's Body

The lifeless body of Humaira Asghar, a talented actress, model, and artist, was found in her apartment located in Defence Phase VI, Karachi, on Tuesday, July 8. This grim discovery occurred during the enforcement of an eviction order due to unpaid rent.

In a deeply unsettling turn of events, reports indicate that Humaira Asghar may have passed away nearly nine months prior, around October 2024. This shocking revelation follows the initial discovery of her remains earlier this week.

Dr. Summaiya Syed, a police surgeon in Karachi, confirmed that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, as reported by various sources.

Deputy Inspector General of Police Syed Asad Raza noted that the actress's Call Detail Records (CDR) indicate her last communication occurred in October 2024. Neighbors reported that they last saw her around September or October of the same year.

DIG Raza further mentioned that expired food items found in her apartment were dated 2024. Additionally, the last messages on her phone were also from October 2024.

In an interview with a media channel, stylist Danish Maqsood revealed that he had sent a message to Asghar on October 20, which she never opened. He also observed that her WhatsApp status showed she was last active on October 7.

Further investigations revealed that the last message on her phone was from an online cab driver, and her electricity had been disconnected for an extended period.

Officials disclosed that the electricity in Humaira's residence was cut off in October 2024 due to unpaid bills. It is believed that she likely passed away between the time she paid her last utility bills and when her electricity was terminated.

Moreover, it was reported that the food in her home had been expired for several months, with jars showing signs of rust and food being outdated by six months.
