Tragic Discovery: Bodies of Baloch Civilians Found in Balochistan
Grim Findings in Balochistan
Quetta, December 5: Local media has reported the recovery of five bodies of Baloch civilians from various locations in Balochistan, including the remains of a tortured individual and others who succumbed to gunfire.
According to sources and police reports cited by The Balochistan Post, these tragic events occurred on Thursday in the districts of Panjgur, Khaliqabad, and Zehri.
In Panjgur, the body of a man, identified as Abdul Wahab, was found in the Pulabad area of Prom Tehsil. He was the son of Muhammad Omar and hailed from the Zamran area of Turbat city in Kech District.
Abdul Wahab had been kidnapped on October 27, 2025, by groups allegedly supported by Pakistan. He was reportedly shot during the abduction, which left him paralyzed. His remains were discovered in Pulabad after he had been missing for over a month.
In another incident, three bodies were located in the Badrang area of Khaliqabad district. Police confirmed that the deceased were identified as Khuda Bakhsh, Zahoor Ahmed, and Barkat Khan, based on identity cards found with them. They were reportedly cousins from the Lehri tribe.
Additionally, a body was found near a football ground in Zehri Tehsil of Khuzdar District. Initial reports suggest the young man, identified as Shahzeb, son of Muhammad Aslam from Zehri, was shot dead.
Human rights organization Baloch Voice for Justice (BVJ) condemned these incidents, stating that Pakistan's policies are contributing to the 'systematic genocide of the Baloch nation.'
They expressed concern over targeted killings and the apparent failure of state institutions to safeguard civilians, urging international human rights organizations, including Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, to document these cases and advocate for independent investigations.
