Tragic Death of Young Man in Madhya Pradesh Due to Alleged Oxygen Shortage in Ambulance

In Mandla district of Madhya Pradesh, a 21-year-old man suffering from kidney disease tragically passed away while being transported in a government ambulance, reportedly due to a lack of oxygen. This incident occurred on July 27, prompting the health department to initiate an investigation.

A video purportedly capturing the incident surfaced on social media on Friday. According to officials, the young man, a resident of Sunhera Mal village in the Bamkheda police station area, was undergoing regular dialysis at the district hospital. Family members stated that when his condition worsened on July 27, he was taken to the Bamkheda Community Health Center, where doctors provided him with oxygen support before referring him to the district hospital.

They alleged that during the journey to the district hospital, the ambulance ran out of oxygen, leading to the young man's death in his father's arms. The video circulating on social media shows the young man lying on a stretcher inside the ambulance, with his father seated beside him. Dr. D. J. Mohanty, the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO), confirmed that a four-member investigation committee has been formed following the incident.

He stated, 'The committee has been instructed to submit its report as soon as possible so that appropriate action can be taken against anyone found responsible.'
