Fatal Accident on Dausa-Manoharpur Highway

In a tragic incident on Wednesday morning, a collision between a car and a truck on the Dausa-Manoharpur National Highway (NH-148) in Jaipur resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including a newly-wed couple from Madhya Pradesh. Police reported that eight others sustained injuries in the crash.


The couple, along with ten other passengers, was traveling to Dausa when a truck, which was reportedly speeding and coming from the opposite direction, crashed into their vehicle.


According to Raghuveer Singh, the station house officer (SHO) of the Raisar police station, the group was returning from a wedding celebration. The car was carrying a total of twelve passengers when the accident occurred, leading to five fatalities and eight injuries.


The collision took place around 6 a.m., and the truck driver fled the scene. Authorities are currently searching for him.


Local residents assisted in transporting six of the injured to a nearby hospital, where medical staff confirmed that five individuals were pronounced dead upon arrival, while eight others remain in critical condition.


The deceased have been identified as Bharti Meena, 18, her husband Vikram Meena, 25, Jetu Kumawat, 33, Subhash Meena, 28, and Ravi Kumar, 17.


The bodies have been sent for autopsy, and family members are being notified. An FIR will be filed once the families arrive, and an investigation is ongoing.
