Fatal Accident in Ahmednagar District

On Sunday morning, a serious accident occurred in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, involving a high-speed truck and a private bus, resulting in the deaths of at least three individuals and injuries to eight others, according to police reports.


The collision took place around 6 AM on the Kolhar-Ghoti highway in the Sangamner area.


An official stated that the truck, which was traveling from Loni to Sangamner, collided with a luxury bus heading from Mumbai to Shirdi. Tragically, two passengers from the bus and the co-driver of the truck lost their lives at the scene.


Additionally, eight passengers aboard the bus sustained injuries. Following the incident, police and local officials arrived promptly to assist and transported the injured to a government hospital for treatment.


The deceased have been identified as the truck's co-driver, Firoz Lala Sheikh (46), and bus passengers Anju Ravindra Valmik (39) and Praveen Sopan Kandalakar (28). The Sangamner taluka police have registered a case and are currently investigating the matter.
