Fatal Incident in Sunder Nagri

On Sunday, Delhi Police reported that two young siblings injured in a CNG cylinder explosion in northeast Delhi's Sunder Nagri have succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical care.


The tragic event unfolded on Saturday at approximately 4:33 PM in the K-Block area of Sunder Nagri, where an explosion occurred inside a warehouse designated for the storage and repair of old CNG cylinders.


Upon arrival, police discovered that the blast had taken place during the maintenance of an old cylinder, with the force of the explosion causing the iron gate of the warehouse to detach.


Three children, aged 4, 7, and 9, who were playing nearby, suffered injuries as a result of the blast.


Additionally, a 25-year-old worker named Arshad, who was inside the warehouse at the time, was also injured but is currently reported to be in stable condition.


The warehouse was being utilized for the repair and storage of outdated CNG cylinders. Investigative teams from the Crime Branch and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) are currently examining the site to determine the precise cause and circumstances surrounding the explosion. Ongoing investigations are in progress.
