Tragic Case of Sexual Assault on Minor in Amethi

A distressing incident involving the sexual assault of a 13-year-old Dalit girl has emerged from a village in the Fursatganj police jurisdiction of Amethi. Authorities disclosed this information on Wednesday.

According to police reports, the minor was in a field on December 30 when a local young man allegedly dragged her to his tubewell, where he assaulted her and threatened her life if she disclosed the incident to anyone.

Victim's Brave Step

Upon returning home, the victim confided in her mother about the ordeal. Her mother promptly reported the matter to the police, filing a complaint against the accused.

Nand Hausla Yadav, the station in-charge of Fursatganj, confirmed that a case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the law. The victim has been sent for a medical examination, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
