Fatal Collision on Rishikesh-Haridwar Road

A devastating accident occurred late Tuesday night on the Rishikesh-Haridwar route near the PNB City Gate, where a speeding car lost control and crashed into a truck parked by the roadside, resulting in the deaths of all four young men inside the vehicle.


According to police reports, the impact of the collision was so severe that the car became wedged under the truck, scattering the victims' remains across the scene. Emergency responders had to use hydraulic cutters to extract the bodies from the mangled wreckage.


Initial investigations revealed that the driver swerved to avoid hitting a cow, which unexpectedly appeared in front of the vehicle. The SUV, traveling at high speed from Haridwar, veered left to avoid the animal but ultimately collided with the truck registered in Haryana.


Authorities confirmed that all four occupants of the car died at the scene. The deceased have been identified as Dheeraj Jaiswal (31), Hariom Pandey (22), Karan Prasad (23), and Satyam Kumar (20), all residents of Rishikesh.
