Tragic Car Accident in Jammu and Kashmir Claims Lives of Three Youths
Heartbreaking Incident in Reasi District
A tragic event has unfolded in the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. On Monday evening, a private vehicle lost control and plunged into a deep gorge, resulting in the deaths of three youths, including two members of the same family. Additionally, five others sustained serious injuries and are currently receiving treatment at a hospital.
Details of the Accident
Authorities reported that the incident occurred near the Ramakunda bend in the mountainous Mahor area on Monday evening. The vehicle was traveling from Gul to Mahor when the driver lost control on a dangerous curve, leading to the car falling into the gorge. Two individuals died at the scene, while one more succumbed to injuries en route to the hospital.
Identities of the Victims
The deceased have been identified as Hakanwaz (22), his sister Shahrija Rahi (18), and their relative Rafaqat Hussain (15). Among the injured, Umar Gul (21), Shahzia Kausar (18), Saddam Hussain (22), Shahnawaz (18), and Adil Hussain (18) have been admitted to Mahor Hospital, where their conditions are reported to be critical.

Upon receiving news of the accident, local residents and rescue teams promptly initiated relief efforts. However, the rescue operations faced significant challenges due to darkness and the hilly terrain. The police have registered a case and are investigating the precise causes of the accident.
