Fatal Bus Accident in Dakshina Kannada

On Wednesday, a tragic collision between two buses operated by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation occurred in Dakshina Kannada, resulting in the death of one woman and injuries to 19 others, according to police reports.


The incident took place near the village of Arantodu within the jurisdiction of the Sulya police station. A bus traveling from Sulya to Madikeri collided head-on with another bus that was heading in the opposite direction from Madikeri to Sulya.


Authorities confirmed that the victim, identified as Bharti (50) from Kushalnagar in Madikeri, died at the scene. Among the injured, two individuals sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. Police have since cleared the wrecked vehicles from the roadway, allowing traffic to resume normally.
