A significant road accident occurred on Saturday morning in Karnataka. Near Bidadi on the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway, a speeding bus operated by the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) lost control and overturned. Tragically, both the driver and the conductor died at the scene, while over 20 passengers sustained serious injuries.
Driver's Drowsiness Leads to Catastrophe
This incident took place approximately 32 kilometers from Bengaluru, in the Bidadi area. Preliminary investigations and eyewitness accounts suggest that the driver fell asleep at the wheel, resulting in a loss of control. The bus veered to the left side of the road and flipped over on the expressway.
Emergency Response and Medical Treatment
The severity of the accident was evident as screams filled the air, causing a significant traffic jam on the expressway. Local police and rescue teams arrived promptly at the scene. Authorities reported that the bodies of the deceased driver and conductor have been sent for post-mortem examination.
Injured Passengers Receiving Care
