Tragic Bus Accident in Uttar Pradesh Claims Five Lives

Lucknow, May 26: A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday when a bus carrying passengers from Delhi to Bihar overturned in Unnao, Uttar Pradesh, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and leaving several others injured, according to officials.
The accident took place early in the morning within the jurisdiction of the Auras Police Station.
Emergency services were promptly dispatched to the scene after receiving reports of the accident. Officials indicated that the bus was transporting over 30 passengers at the time.
While five individuals were pronounced dead at the scene, numerous others suffered serious injuries after being thrown from the bus as it fell off the expressway.
The critically injured victims have been transferred to the Lucknow Trauma Centre for urgent medical care.
Initial investigations by the police suggest that the driver may have fallen asleep, leading to the accident.
The incident occurred at the 262-kilometer mark on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, under the Auras police station's jurisdiction.
In a separate incident, four pilgrims lost their lives and three others were critically injured when their car collided with a trailer on the Sultanpur-Lucknow Expressway while heading to Kainchi Dham.
This crash happened near Bhikhra village in the Haidergarh Police Station area around 2:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
The car was completely destroyed in the collision.
The injured were initially taken to the Community Health Centre and later referred to the KGMU Trauma Centre for further treatment.
This incident follows another tragic accident in Barabanki on May 23, where a speeding dumper truck struck a family of four, including three children, who were sleeping by the roadside.
This earlier accident occurred on the Fatehpur-Bhanoli road near Jhansa village, resulting in the deaths of a man and his three children, while his wife sustained serious injuries.
