Bus Accident in Sarkaghat Area

A devastating bus accident occurred in the Maseran region of Sarkaghat, resulting in the deaths of at least seven individuals and leaving many others injured. This unfortunate event took place on July 24, approximately 60 kilometers from the Mandi district.


Naresh Chauhan, the Principal Media Advisor to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, addressed the incident, stating, "This is a tragic event. We have reports of around 20 to 25 injuries, and seven fatalities. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families."


He further mentioned, "The local administration is doing everything possible to assist. Rescue operations are underway, and the injured are being transported to hospitals. The entire administration is actively involved in the response efforts."


Initial reports suggest that heavy rainfall may have caused a road cave-in, which led to the bus losing control and crashing off the road.
