Tragic Bus Accident in Himachal Pradesh Claims Eight Lives

Fatal Bus Crash in Sirmaur District

On Friday, a private bus plunged into a gorge in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh, resulting in the deaths of eight individuals and leaving five others injured, according to police reports.

Footage circulating on social media shows numerous people assisting in rescue operations and attempting to extract the injured from the wreckage of the bus.

Authorities indicated that the incident occurred in the Haripur Dhar area when the bus was traveling from Solan and fell approximately 100 to 200 feet off the road.

After the bus fell, it overturned, prompting local residents to rush to the scene to aid in rescue efforts and notify the police.

Himachal Pradesh's Industry Minister and MLA from Shilai, Harshvardhan Chauhan, stated that the district administration has been alerted, and medical teams are on standby at hospitals in Dadahu, Sangrah, and Nahan.

The cause of the accident remains unknown, and the MLA expressed his condolences regarding the tragic event.
