Tragic Bus Accident in Himachal Pradesh Claims Eight Lives

Fatal Incident in Sirmaur District

Shimla: A tragic bus accident in the Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh resulted in the deaths of eight individuals, with five others sustaining injuries, according to police reports.

Footage shared on social media shows a large group of people participating in rescue efforts, attempting to extract the injured from the bus wreckage.

The incident took place in the Haripurdhar region while the bus was traveling from Solan, plunging between 100 to 200 feet off the road.

Authorities reported that the bus ended up overturned. Local residents quickly responded to the scene and alerted the police.

Harshwardhan Chauhan, the Industry Minister and local MLA from the Shallai assembly segment, stated that the district administration has been activated, with medical teams and doctors at Dadahu, Sangrah, and Nahan hospitals on standby for emergencies.

The exact cause of the accident remains unknown, and the MLA extended his condolences to the victims' families.
