Tragic Bus Accident in Chamba Claims One Life and Injures Four

A devastating accident unfolded on Sunday morning along the Chamba–Bharmour road near Ghaira when large boulders unexpectedly tumbled down from a hillside, striking a private bus. This unfortunate event resulted in the immediate death of one passenger and left four others with injuries.

Reports indicate that the bus was returning from the Shiva Nuala event held at the Chaurasi complex. The incident occurred around 8 AM as the bus was navigating the area close to Ghaira when the rocks fell, causing the tragic accident.

Emergency services quickly transported the injured individuals to a nearby hospital for medical attention. Local police arrived at the scene without delay to initiate rescue efforts and to investigate the details surrounding the incident.

Superintendent of Police Chamba, Vijay Saklani, verified the occurrence and mentioned that efforts are underway to identify both the deceased and those injured.
