The victim, Yesenia Morales Gomez, was bungee jumping with her boyfriend when a misunderstanding with the instructor led her to jump without being secured by the safety harness. She fell approximately 160 feet. Her boyfriend rushed to her aid and attempted CPR, but it was too late; she had already passed away in the air.
