She fell approximately 160 feet. Her boyfriend rushed to her aid and attempted CPR, but it was too late; she had already passed away in the air.

Initially, it was believed that her death resulted from the fall. However, the medical report revealed that she had suffered a heart attack while airborne. It is speculated that the realization of jumping without a harness may have triggered her panic, leading to the cardiac event.

Gustavo Guzmán, the mayor of Fredonia, Antioquia, commented on the incident, stating that the woman had become confused.
