Mathura: A tragic incident occurred on Sunday when a multi-storey building collapsed in the densely populated Kachchi Sadak area, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including two young sisters, as reported by local officials.

Rescue teams managed to extract one individual from the debris, according to the authorities.

District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh noted that the building was situated on an elevated mound. Ongoing rescue operations aim to ensure that no additional victims are trapped beneath the rubble.

The deceased have been identified as Totaram, aged 38, along with his two sisters, Yashoda, 6, and Kavya, 3.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shlok Kumar confirmed that one person had been rescued from the wreckage and transported to a hospital, where they are currently stable and under observation.
