Tragic Attack in Bhubaneswar Claims Young Man's Life

Incident Overview

A young man succumbed to his injuries on Thursday after being attacked by a group of five individuals in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, on December 27. Authorities confirmed the unfortunate news.

The victim has been identified as Babul Das, a resident of the Nayapalli police station area. According to police reports, Babul was assaulted while sitting outside his home. So far, two suspects have been apprehended in connection with the incident.

Community Response

In response to the attack, local residents staged protests demanding the arrest of all suspects involved. They blocked a busy road connecting the Unit-8 DAV School to CRP Chowk by setting tires on fire.

Police Investigation

Bishwaranjan Senapati, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Zone-5) in Bhubaneswar, stated, "We have arrested two individuals, including a minor, and efforts are ongoing to capture the remaining suspects."

Initial investigations suggest that the murder was motivated by a longstanding feud, with indications of a love triangle also emerging.
