Fatal Incident in Gaya


Gaya: In a tragic event on Friday, four individuals, including a father and his son, lost their lives due to asphyxiation caused by toxic gas while they were working on a motor inside a well in the Gaya district of Bihar, according to local officials.


The unfortunate incident took place in the village of Garh Karmauni, located within the jurisdiction of the Dobhi police station.


The victims have been named as Chamari Manjhi, his son Dilchand Manjhi, along with Vikas Chaudhary and Vijay Chaudhary.


SSP Sushil Kumar confirmed that the four men succumbed after inhaling the hazardous gas present in the well.


In response to this tragedy, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary expressed his condolences and instructed relevant officials to grant an ex gratia payment of Rs 4 lakh to each family of the deceased.
