Madhya Pradesh CM Expresses Condolences Over Air India Incident
The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, expressed profound sorrow on Thursday regarding the crash of an Air India flight en route from Ahmedabad to London. The aircraft, carrying a total of 242 passengers and crew members, tragically went down shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad Airport.
The Boeing aircraft crashed in the Megha Nagar area near Ahmedabad International Airport. In a statement, Yadav remarked, "The news of the passenger plane crash in Ahmedabad is extremely tragic and heartbreaking."
The Chief Minister prayed to Lord Mahakal for the safety of the passengers and the success of the ongoing rescue operations. Opposition leader in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly, Umang Singhar, described the incident as deeply saddening and horrifying.
He stated, "In this difficult time, we all pray to God for the safety of all passengers and crew members, and for the injured to receive prompt relief and medical assistance."
Singhar added, "Our thoughts are with all the victims and their families." The state's Deputy Chief Minister, Jagdish Devda, also expressed his condolences regarding the aviation disaster. Vishnudutt Sharma, the President of the Madhya Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and MP from Khajuraho, along with other party officials, conveyed their deep sorrow over the incident. Sharma mentioned that during this time of grief, the state BJP stands in solidarity with the bereaved families and wishes for the swift recovery of the injured.
