Tragic Accident on NH-44 Claims Lives and Injures Several in Delhi

New Delhi, May 13: A tragic incident occurred on Wednesday morning when a speeding vehicle collided with a passenger auto on NH-44 in the Alipur area of Delhi, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including a young girl, and leaving four others with serious injuries, as reported by local authorities.
The collision happened near Shiv Mandir, causing widespread panic among residents. Emergency services were dispatched promptly to the scene, where they transported the injured to nearby medical facilities for urgent care.
Officials indicated that the auto was carrying multiple passengers when the high-speed vehicle struck it violently.
Upon arrival at the hospital, three individuals, including the auto driver Raju Sharma, a minor girl, and another unidentified person, were pronounced dead.
The injured have been identified as Mukesh, his wife Pinki, Chotu Pandit, and a young boy, all of whom are currently receiving treatment.
Medical reports suggest that the injured sustained severe injuries and are being treated at a local hospital.
Initially, the injured were taken to Satyawadi Raja Harish Chandra Hospital in Delhi before being transferred to Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narayan Hospital for advanced treatment.
Some of the victims are reported to be in critical condition.
Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident and are looking into the involvement of the speeding vehicle.
"Legal proceedings are underway, and the investigation is ongoing," stated police officials.
The accident caused temporary traffic disruptions on the busy NH-44 as emergency teams worked to rescue victims and clear the wreckage from the roadway.
