In Gurugram, Haryana, a tragic incident occurred on the Dwarka Expressway flyover, where a speeding scooter collided with a stationary truck that lacked reflectors or indicators. This accident resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left another seriously injured, as reported by local authorities on Sunday.

According to police, the collision took place around 8:30 PM on Saturday near the BPTP Society, involving a truck (tanker) and a scooter carrying two women and a man.

A complaint filed by a passenger, Pankaj Swami, indicated that the truck was parked in the middle of the flyover without any road safety devices such as reflectors, cones, or emergency lights. The complaint stated that the scooter riders were unable to see the truck in the dark, leading to the collision from behind.

Bystanders rushed them to the hospital, where, unfortunately, a woman and a man succumbed to their injuries on Sunday morning. The deceased have been identified as Lakshya Gehlot from Kakrola village in Delhi and Nidhi from Uttam Nagar.

The third passenger, Ankita Kumari, who resides in Kotla Vihar, New Delhi, remains in critical condition and is undergoing treatment. Authorities have registered a case against the truck driver at the Bajghera police station for negligence leading to the fatalities. A senior police official stated, 'We are reviewing CCTV footage from the accident site to identify the fleeing driver and apprehend him as soon as possible.'
