Construction Accident Claims Lives in Baghpat

On Thursday evening, a tragic incident occurred in Baghpat district, Uttar Pradesh, where the collapse of a lintel at a construction site resulted in the deaths of two laborers, while another sustained serious injuries, according to police reports. The accident took place around 5 PM in the Chaparoli town, where construction was underway on a house being built by Parvez Qureshi.

Authorities stated that the lintel unexpectedly gave way, trapping three workers beneath the debris. Upon receiving news of the incident, police and local residents rushed to the scene to initiate a rescue operation. The deceased have been identified as 60-year-old Radhu, also known as Surendra, and 35-year-old Robin, both of whom were related as father-in-law and son-in-law.

The injured worker has been admitted to the district hospital for medical treatment.
