Tragic Accident in Kerala: Man Dies After Falling into Construction Pit

Fatal Incident in Vadakara

A man tragically lost his life after falling into a pit dug for road construction in Vadakara, Kerala. Authorities reported the incident on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old Moosa, a resident of Amravati in the Vilayapally area of Vadakara.

According to police officials, Moosa was discovered unconscious in the pit, which had been excavated for drainage work along the roadside, late Sunday night. He was rushed to the hospital, but medical staff pronounced him dead upon arrival.

Investigators believe that Moosa fell into the pit around 6 PM, but it was several hours before anyone noticed him. Local residents have expressed concerns, claiming that there were no barriers or warning signs at the construction site, which contributed to the accident. The Vadakara police have registered a case of unnatural death and have commenced an investigation. They stated that the body will be handed over to the family following the post-mortem examination.
