Tragic Accident in Jajpur: Couple Killed, Young Son Survives

In a heartbreaking incident in Jajpur, Odisha, a couple lost their lives when their motorcycle was struck by a car on Saturday, while their four-year-old son miraculously survived with minor injuries, according to local police.

The tragic event occurred near a toll plaza on NH-16 in the Panikoili police jurisdiction as the family was traveling from Kuakhia to Panikoili during the afternoon.

Witnesses reported that a car collided with their motorcycle before fleeing the scene.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man suffered severe injuries and was transported to the Jajpur district headquarters hospital, where he later passed away.

Fortunately, their son escaped with only minor injuries and is currently under the care of the Panikoili Police.

Authorities have launched a comprehensive investigation into the incident and are actively searching for the vehicle involved.

Efforts are also being made to identify the deceased couple.
