Tragic Accident in Ballia: Student Killed, Two Injured in Car Collision

A tragic incident occurred near Ubhav Mor in the Ballia district, where a car collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of a student and serious injuries to two others. This information was confirmed by local police on Thursday.

According to police reports, three individuals were riding a motorcycle on the Chowkiya-Ubhav road on Wednesday afternoon. They had stopped by the roadside to converse with a friend when a car coming from the Chowkiya turn struck them.

The collision claimed the life of 14-year-old Karan Yadav, a ninth-grade student, while 16-year-old Prince Turha and 15-year-old Shailesh sustained severe injuries. The injured were promptly taken to the Community Health Center in Siar and later transferred to the district hospital due to their critical condition.

Station Officer Sanjay Shukla stated on Thursday that the police have taken possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. He also mentioned that a case has been filed against the unidentified driver based on a complaint from the deceased's father, Kishun Yadav. The investigation into the incident is currently underway.
