Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Two Law Students in Nagpur
Fatal Incident in Nagpur
In a heartbreaking incident in Nagpur, Maharashtra, two law students from the Maharashtra National Law University lost their lives in a road accident. The students, who were trapped in a ravine overnight, suffered without anyone noticing their plight. Their bodies were discovered the following morning. The duo fell into the gorge after their motorcycle skidded on a rough, dark road, and they succumbed due to a lack of timely medical assistance.
Circumstances of the Accident
The deceased students, identified as 20-year-olds Saksham Bansod and Aryan Sonatke, were returning from a dinner outing when the tragic event occurred. Their motorcycle lost traction on a perilous path behind the university, leading them directly into the ravine.
Communication Breakdown
The area where the accident took place was extremely isolated, which meant no one heard their cries for help. Compounding the situation, one student's mobile phone was left behind at a hotel, while the other's battery had died, preventing them from reaching out for assistance. As a result, they were unable to call for help and tragically passed away in the ravine.
Discovery and Investigation
When the students failed to return to their hostel, a search was initiated. It was not until Thursday morning that a passerby spotted their bodies in the gorge and alerted the authorities. The police have since registered an accidental death case and are conducting further investigations.
