Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Six Women in Rajasthan
Fatal Collision on Jaipur-Bikaner Highway
On Wednesday, a devastating accident occurred near the village of Harsawa on the Jaipur-Bikaner highway, resulting in the deaths of six women from the same family after their car collided with an oncoming truck. Authorities confirmed the incident.
The deceased have been identified as Mohini Devi (80), her daughter Indra (60), daughter-in-law Tulsi (45), Chanda Devi (55), Santosh (45), and Asha (60), all residents of Raghunathpura. The police reported that Mohini's granddaughter Sonu, daughter-in-law Barkha, and the driver, Wasim from Mandela, sustained serious injuries and were transported to a hospital in Sikar.
The impact of the crash was so severe that the car was completely mangled, making it extremely difficult for rescuers to retrieve the bodies. Authorities indicated that autopsies for the deceased will be conducted on Thursday.
According to police, the victims were returning from a funeral in Laxmangarh when the tragic accident occurred. Approximately two dozen family members had traveled in four vehicles for the cremation, with eight women from the family in one car on their way back.
