Tragic Accident Claims Lives of Couple in Jhansi District

Fatal Collision in Chirgaon Area

On Sunday, a tragic incident occurred in the Chirgaon police jurisdiction of Jhansi district, where a speeding truck struck a motorcycle, resulting in the deaths of a husband and wife. Authorities confirmed the details of the accident.

According to the Chirgaon police, 55-year-old Deendayal Ahirwar was riding with his 52-year-old wife, Rajabeti, to visit their ailing granddaughter when the collision happened near the village of Pahadi. The truck, traveling at high speed, crashed into their motorcycle from behind.

Following the impact, the truck dragged the motorcycle for several meters, leading to Rajabeti's immediate death at the scene. Deendayal sustained severe injuries and later succumbed to his wounds while receiving treatment at a medical college.

The police have sent both bodies for post-mortem examinations. Meanwhile, the truck driver fled the scene, and efforts are underway to locate him.
