Fatal Incident in Mahwa Ghat Area
In a tragic event in the Mahwa Ghat police jurisdiction of Kaushambi district, a student lost her life after being struck by a dumper on Thursday amidst dense fog. Authorities have confirmed the incident.
According to Dheerendra Singh, the officer in charge of Mahwa Ghat police station, the victim, Sarita Devi, a 15-year-old girl from Uparhar village, was on her way to school around 9 AM when a speeding dumper collided with her near the Bairagi Pur intersection.
The officer reported that Sarita succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Following the accident, the driver of the dumper fled the site. Police have since seized the vehicle involved in the incident.
