Traffic Adjustments for Highway Inauguration

In light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's inauguration of two highway projects on Sunday, significant traffic alterations will take place on the Tikri Border-Peeragarhi highway and in the Rohini area from 6 AM to 2 PM.


According to the Delhi Traffic Police, Modi will unveil two major highway projects worth approximately ₹11,000 crores in Rohini. Travelers are advised to avoid using the roads in the Tikri Border-Peeragarhi and Rohini areas during this time, as vehicle movement will be disrupted due to the event.


The traffic police also indicated that on August 17, the Urban Extension Road-II, along with the Rohtak Road from Peeragarhi to Tikri Border and vice versa, will be closed, along with all associated roads.


Additionally, the announcement mentioned that traffic routes will be modified on Mahavir Road, Bawana Road, Kanjhawala Road, Kanjhawala Link Road, and Badshah Dahiya Marg due to the event. The Prime Minister's office confirmed that Modi will inaugurate the Delhi section of the Dwarka Expressway and the Alipur-Dichau Kalana section of the Urban Extension Road-2 on Sunday.
