Traffic Advisory for Shreekhetra Bhaunri
Odisha: As Puri prepares for the Shreekhetra Bhaunri celebration on May 19, local authorities have released a detailed traffic advisory. This advisory includes information on traffic diversions, restrictions, and designated no-vehicle zones to manage the influx of devotees during this important event. To maintain public safety and ensure smooth traffic flow, several areas have been marked as no-vehicle zones.
No Vehicle Zones
- From Market Square to the exit point of Raybahadur Lane via Narendra Kona
- From Narendra Kona to Souchalaya Chhak
- From Souchalaya Chhak to Devighata Chhak
- Majena Lane and Akshay Patra Lane from the Badadanda side
Parking Arrangements
- Vehicles arriving from Market Square can park at JBPC and Municipality Parking.
- Parking is also available for vehicles coming from the Mangalaghata side at the under Srisetu Bridge near Bisweswari Chhaka.
NOTE: All vehicles arriving from Mangalahata will be redirected from Devighata Chhak to Kumbharapada Chhak via Jatiababa Chhaka.

In preparation for the celebrations, Puri Police have been conducting unannounced inspections at various hotels in the area to ensure the safety of both visitors and residents. Authorities are actively monitoring CCTV footage and security protocols throughout the pilgrimage town. The Shreekhetra Bhaunri signifies the conclusion of the 42-day-long Chandan Yatra.
