Chandrika Bhattacharya Steps Down from TMC Leadership
Chandrika Bhattacharya, the president of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, announced her resignation from all party positions on Saturday. This decision comes in the wake of a series of departures by party leaders. Bhattacharya, a close aide of Mamata Banerjee, was appointed as the head of the TMC's West Bengal unit following a significant defeat in the assembly elections in May. After the loss, Mamata disbanded all existing party committees and initiated a reorganization of the party.
