TMC MP Blames Pakistan for Supporting Terrorism Amid Economic Growth

TMC MP's Strong Accusations Against Pakistan
During a press conference in Jakarta, TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, part of a multi-party delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, accused Pakistan of nurturing and supporting terrorists that destabilize growing economies. He referenced the involvement of Pakistan-based terrorists in significant attacks such as the 9/11 attacks, the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, and the 2006 Bombay train bombings, stating that if terrorism is a mad dog, then Pakistan is its wicked handler.
India's Economic Progress and Pakistan's Struggles
Banerjee highlighted that India waited two weeks before initiating Operation Sindoor to see if Pakistan would take action against terrorists. He recalled how Indian authorities allowed Pakistani officials to visit the Pathankot airbase following the terrorist attack there. He emphasized that Pakistan has been harboring terrorists to undermine rising economies, noting that India has surpassed Japan to become the world's fourth-largest economy.
He expressed confidence that India would soon rise to third place, criticizing Pakistan for its economic crisis and internal issues while India continues to grow and collaborate with various nations. He stated, "We consider each of you as our strategic partners and friendly nations."
Call for Global Cooperation Against Terrorism
Banerjee reiterated the shared goal of peace and prosperity, urging all nations to stand together against terrorism. He called for raising this issue on significant multilateral platforms like FATF, UN, and ASEAN, asserting that India has never backed down from its stance on terrorism.
