TMC Leader Celebrates Birth of Sunali Khatun's Healthy Baby Boy
Celebration of New Life Amidst Challenges
On Monday, Abhishek Banerjee, a prominent leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), expressed his joy over the birth of a healthy baby boy to Sunali Khatun at the Rampurhat Medical College in Birbhum. In several posts on social media, Banerjee described this moment as deeply emotional, especially considering the challenges faced by Khatun. He accused the Delhi police and the central government of wrongfully labeling her as Bangladeshi and forcibly sending her back to Bangladesh, which he termed a gross misuse of power. He praised the extraordinary courage and determination shown by Sunali amidst the alleged injustices she faced.
In his posts, Banerjee shared his happiness and enthusiasm upon learning about Sunali's successful delivery. He noted that witnessing her joy amidst the injustices she endured made this moment even more profound. He condemned the severe abuse of power by the Delhi police and the central government, which led to her being falsely identified as a Bangladeshi and forcibly deported.
Banerjee further stated that this act was a violation of dignity that no citizen, especially a pregnant woman, should have to endure. He commended Sunali for her remarkable bravery and resolve in the face of adversity. He announced plans to visit Rampurhat Medical College on Saturday to meet Sunali and her newborn, extending his best wishes to them.
