Tiruchirappalli Launches Tamil Nadu's First Dirt Karting Track for Youth Safety
Introduction to Fuori Strada Grounds
Located in Siruganur, Tiruchirappalli, Fuori Strada Grounds has unveiled a new dirt karting and off-road motorsports facility. This initiative is designed to offer structured driving training while raising road safety awareness among young individuals.
Facility Features
The management proudly claims that this is the first dirt karting track in Tamil Nadu and the inaugural racetrack in Tiruchirappalli. The facility boasts a 1.1-kilometre dirt circuit tailored for dirt bikes, cars, and off-road vehicles, featuring eight left-hand turns, four right-hand turns, water crossings, uneven terrain, camel-back-style bumps, and rocky sections.
A Commitment to Safe Racing
Gautham, the founder and managing director of Fuori Strada Grounds, emphasized that the facility provides dirt karts, buggies, dirt bikes, and jeeps, along with certified training for specific vehicles in collaboration with CRA Motorsports. He expressed that the goal is to create a secure environment for youth to explore their passion for motorsports and to deter reckless racing on public roads.
"Fuori Strada translates to 'off-road' in Italian, and we take pride in being Tamil Nadu's first dirt karting track and Trichy's first racetrack. Our primary mission is to establish a safe racing environment, educate the youth about motorsports, and foster responsible behavior on the roads," he stated.
Promoting Youth Training and Road Safety
Training programs are available for children aged 12 and above, with karting serving as a foundational step for future car racers. The initiative aims to promote motorsports through certified training while encouraging adherence to traffic regulations, helmet usage, and overall road safety.
"We offer training programs starting from age 12. For those aspiring to become car racers, karting is the essential first step. We provide certified training programs. Many young individuals today are glued to their phones, neglecting traffic rules, and failing to wear helmets. Our mission is to create a safe space for learning speed, promote racing in India, and inspire the younger generation to be responsible on the roads," Gautham added.
