Three Types of People You Should Avoid Helping
Introduction
It is often advised to be generous, assist others, and show compassion. However, this kindness should be reserved for certain individuals. There are some people for whom showing pity can lead to negative consequences. The ancient philosopher Chanakya discussed three types of individuals in his teachings who should not be aided.
Wicked and Immoral Women
According to Chanakya, it is wise to avoid helping women who are inherently wicked and lack moral character. Women who consistently belittle others should not be supported, as assisting them may lead to your own detriment. Such individuals often have a strong desire for wealth and can be likened to a venomous snake, capable of striking at any moment. They may also pass on their negative traits to their offspring, creating further societal issues. Therefore, it is best to refrain from offering them any assistance.
Foolish Individuals
Chanakya also advises against helping foolish people. Engaging in friendship or arguments with them is futile, as offering advice is merely a waste of time. These individuals will attempt to outsmart you with their flawed reasoning and will not comprehend your perspective.
Even if you try to help them for their own good, they may take offense and turn you into an enemy. This can lead to negative consequences for you, causing unnecessary mental stress. Thus, it is advisable to maintain distance from such foolish individuals to ensure your own happiness.
Negative and Perpetually Unhappy People
Chanakya suggests that one should steer clear of individuals who are consistently negative and always lamenting their misfortunes. A wise person can maintain a positive outlook even in dire situations, while a foolish and negative person remains perpetually dissatisfied.
Their negative mindset can affect your own happiness, as they may harbor jealousy towards your joy. Often, they merely pretend to be unhappy, spreading negativity in their surroundings. It is best to keep your distance from such individuals and refrain from helping them.
