On Thursday, an encounter between security forces and Maoists in Sukma district resulted in the deaths of three Maoists, including a female member of the group, as reported by police officials.


According to police sources, a team from the Sukma District Reserve Guard (DRG) was dispatched for an anti-Maoist operation based on intelligence regarding the presence of Maoists in the forests and hills of the Golapalli police station area.


They noted that intermittent gunfire between the security personnel and the Maoists has been ongoing since early morning, leading to the confirmed deaths of three Maoists, including one woman. Further details will be provided once the operation concludes.
