On Wednesday morning, a police operation in the Alluri Sitarama Raju district of Andhra Pradesh resulted in the deaths of three Maoists during an encounter, as reported by a police official.


The police indicated that the operation was initiated based on intelligence inputs. The identities of the deceased Maoists have not yet been confirmed.


According to Amit Bardar, the Superintendent of Police for Alluri Sitarama Raju district, "Three Maoists were killed in the encounter with the police."


DSP GS Prashant from Ramachodavaram stated, "The bodies of the Maoists have not been recovered yet. The investigation is ongoing, and the police have intensified surveillance to detect any other Maoist presence in the area."
