Significant Drug Bust in Tengnoupal District

In a recent operation in the Tengnoupal district of Manipur, law enforcement officials apprehended three individuals suspected of drug trafficking. Authorities reported that they seized 5.89 kilograms of Yaba pills from the suspects.


The security forces intercepted the traffickers' vehicle at a checkpoint within the Tengnoupal police jurisdiction, leading to their arrest. The suspects have been identified as James Bait (28), Hatnikim Bait (50), and David T. Met (41).


According to police reports, the total quantity of Yaba pills confiscated is valued at over one crore rupees. The term 'Yaba' translates to 'crazy medicine' in Thai.


Yaba is a potent form of methamphetamine in tablet form.
