Incident at Mirzapur Railway Station

Following a dispute over ticket purchases at Mirzapur Railway Station, three devotees have been apprehended for allegedly attacking a member of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). This information was disclosed by the police on Sunday.


According to Inspector Raghavendra Singh of the Government Railway Police (GRP), the CRPF personnel was attempting to board the Brahmaputra Express train, which the devotees also intended to take to Baijnath Dham. A heated argument erupted between them regarding the ticket purchase.


Inspector Singh noted that GRP officers present at the scene attempted to manage the situation, and additional forces were dispatched from the station to ensure the safety of the CRPF member. Subsequently, the devotees were taken into custody.


The GRP has filed charges against the devotees under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), and relevant provisions of the Railway Act. It was reported that the devotees were later released on bail.
