Murder Investigation in Ranchi

In Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, authorities have apprehended three individuals, including a married woman and her lover, in connection with the murder of the woman's husband. This information was disclosed by the police on Wednesday.

Ramesh Oraon was fatally stabbed at his residence in the Kanke police station area on May 19. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Chandan Kumar Sinha informed reporters that the suspects include Ramesh's wife, Tanu Lakra, her alleged lover, Shahid Ansari, and an accomplice, Satish Baitha.

The police have also seized four mobile phones, a car, and a knife believed to have been used in the crime. Sinha stated that Lakra had an extramarital affair with Ansari and conspired to eliminate her husband, with Baitha playing a significant role in the plot.

According to Sinha, Tanu provided Ansari with keys to their home, allowing him to enter and stab Ramesh around 4:45 AM on May 19. It was revealed that Ansari was a former business partner of Ramesh and had been involved in land transactions, which eventually led to an illicit relationship with Ramesh's wife. The SSP confirmed that Ramesh became aware of their affair, prompting Tanu to orchestrate his murder. The police possess substantial evidence linking all three suspects to the crime.
